Come and see your own story. Try to look at your story differently with me. Tell me your story and then mold it out of clay. You’ll find that by giving your story shape, you can move your story forward.
I use modeling with sculpting clay to help people understand themselves better and gain a much greater understanding of themselves and their surroundings.
From my experience, I realized that it is not necessary for a person to be able to model, but that we can all create and materialize feelings. All we need is the courage and determination to look at our life.
Who is sculptural introspection for?
Sculptural Introspection is primarily for those who are looking for a different approach to life. In addition, it is very practical to look at your own story in a different way than I have looked at it until now. Retelling your story without self-judgment is key to seeing some situations in your life from a different perspective. Each of us has a unique story that no one else in the world has. And that’s why it makes sense to review your story. It’s practical to explore what I’ve been striving for all my life. What I’m all about in life and it creeps into my ears. And the opposite is not my strong point at all.
In order to recognize ourselves in this way, we need to be aware that we belong to a network of certain relationships that we have built. Our established relationships both support and limit us. The awareness that it matters in which relationships we are involved seems key to me. Key to this is understanding where I am in my story and how my current relationships are currently affecting me.
At Sculpture Introspection, you can model your relationships and view them from a completely different angle than how you normally perceive them. When you take clay in your hand, you will often be surprised that your created sculpture expresses something different than what you normally imagine.
Everyone can model their relationship to anything – people, career, money, work, hobbies and their life. The reason for visiting me can take many forms, from everyday misunderstandings to serious trust issues. My best experiences are with married couples and entire families. Problematic stereotypes on both sides become well visible between partners. It is interesting to hear the view of the situation from both sides and then to see this situation modeled by each of the couple separately. In such work, it is easy to reveal what is not graspable in ordinary life. If the whole family is here, it is possible to see these mechanisms in all family members, which is optimal, because then the best way to find a solution. In work teams, thanks to the individual views of each participant, misunderstandings that co-workers encounter with each other become clearer. And this way, cooperation at the workplace can be made more efficient.
How does Sculptural Introspection work?
My work with people is based on the client’s own creation. Everyone creates with their own hands what they feel in relationships. At the beginning of the consultation, there is an interview, when I find out why the person in question came to me and I listen to his story. After gathering information, we name together what will be the most beneficial to model and start creating. When the model is ready, the client tries to describe the feelings and connections between the sculpture and the client’s life. How far we go, to what depth, depends entirely on the client. Sculptural life coaching is therefore based on the fact that the client models what keeps him occupied.
The very creation of the sculpture will allow him to look at his life from a different side. I like a pleasant atmosphere when talking, I want people to relax and feel safe in my studio. The main difference from a classic consultation, for example with a psychologist, is that the client himself is a physically active part of solving the problem. His clay creation is a building block. From the sculpture, it is easier to read what is happening in the person and what he is experiencing, and it is thus easier to get to the essence of what is occupying the client. From my point of view, it’s important that people don’t just tell me their story, but that they express it in clay and imprint their feelings into matter. A lot of interesting information, connections and perspectives on the given situation can then be assembled from them.
The length of the consultation is individual, according to the client’s needs. It is not uncommon for the consultation time to be doubled.
Price of the Sculptural introspection
- For a person 1 500 CZK for 90 minutes
- For a couple 2 000 CZK for 2 hours
- For a family (3–4 persons) 3 000 CZK for 3 hours
- For a family or group (5 persons) 5 000 CZK for 5 hours
- For larger groups, according to individual agreement.
Each additional started half-hour is 500 CZK.
